We have new procedures in place to ensure we do everything possible so our guests and our team stay safe.

Please read the following notes on how we’ve changed so you know what to expect when you visit.

What we've changed...

  • Removed lots of our tables and moved the remaining ones at least 1.5m away from each other

  • Added extra cleaning measures to ensure all surfaces you come into contact with are cleaned much more regularly.

  • Hand sanitiser station at the entrance and exit.

  • Extra staff training and rigorous hand washing procedures in place.

  • We have digital menus available by scanning a QR code or laminated menus which are cleaned before being brought to you.

  • Digital order at table system by scanning a QR code on a smartphone; you can order from the comfort of your table while keeping socially distant from other guests and staff.

  • Cutlery and napkins will also be brought to you

  • Table service is now in operation throughout all our dining areas, including our outdoor terrace. Please wait for a member of staff to come to you rather than coming up to the bar.

What we expect from you...

  • Safety first: If you or any of your household display any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 then we respectfully ask that you do not enter Bank House. Follow government guidelines on self-isolating and call us on 01433 449060 to rearrange your booking for another time.

  • Respect others: We ask that guests respect the space of others and maintain social distancing wherever possible. The building has a few narrow areas like the stairwells and hallway. Give way to people on these areas rather than squeezing through.

  • Be patient: Things will be different for a while. We’re operating with a reduced team and it’s all new to us too! Please give a little extra time for drinks or food to arrive, or orders to be taken. We’re trying to make Bank House as safe as we can for everybody.

  • Track and Trace: Our commitment to the government track and trace program means we may ask for personal/contact details from guests. We hold these for a minimum of 21 days, and ask that guests co-operate with us to ensure everyone’s continued safety.

When do you re-open?

Saturday 4th of July at 11am

What are your opening hours?

11am - 11pm, Monday to Sunday.

Do I have to pre-book?

No, we welcome walk-ins but tables are limited so it's best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Can I book for drinks only?

Yes but please let us know it's just for drinks when you book.

What is the maximum party size I can book for?

Six people including children and infants.

Can I book for a private area away from other guests?

Yes, we have a private dining room available for up to six people.

Do you have a time limit on a table?

No but there may be exceptions at certain times. We will always advise if there are any when you make your booking.

Can I chose to sit outside?

Yes, if booking online please select "Outside" when it asks which seating area. Please note; if you choose to sit outside but then request to move inside, we can not guarantee that a table would be available.

What happens if it rains?

If we have a table available inside we would relocate you. If not, we are very sorry but you might get wet!

Can I have a drink at the bar?

Unfortunately not. Government guidelines currently prevent any standing at the bar.

If I haven’t pre-booked do I still have to give my details?

Yes, we are asking for guests to supply basic contact information for each household within the party to ensure we can keep accurate records for government track and trace. Please don’t be offended if staff ask and any details given are only stored for 21 days, in line with government guidelines and our Privacy Policy
